Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour and burglary. We have also conducted meetings and seizing vehicles. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. This week we held a PACT meeting at Thomas King House. This is a joint meeting with local residents, councillors and Citizen Housing. This meeting was successful and gave local residence the chance to raise any concerns. We hope to see more of you, as this is a great way to meet your neighbourhood team and speak to us. This week we have been focusing more on patrols and engaging with local residents around burglary hotspots due to a high rise in reports. Make sure you have a read of the burglary advice that was sent out yesterday. Officers visited a school this week to deliver a safety talk to the children for their week of emergency services. We took the police van for them to sit in and play with the sirens and lights. Children had a great time trying on uniform and engaging with the police. ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 5 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: We managed to seize a vehicle in your local neighbourhood due to having no tax. Make sure you are taxing, insuring and getting MOTs on your vehicles. We have been out issuing more CPWs and CPNs to the individuals that have been out causing issues in your neighbourhood. GREAT NEWS: Your local neighbourhood team are looking a setting up a Street watch in Hillfields.
